Our Bagel Journey
Our journey started during a visit from Nana. Nana mentioned something about bagels, and we began discussing how Florida bagels are nothing like the ones you get back home from New York City. We decided to whip up a batch of homemade water bagels, and... they were terrible! The words we always tell our kids, "Never give up," circled right back to us. We have to practice what we preach, right? After numerous hours and recipe changes, we arrived at our first batch of delicious Vito Rose water bagels.
The Inspiration
Vito Rose—Nana’s late husband—was born in Italy and spent most of his life working in and around New York City. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and a true inspiration to everyone who knew him. His strength, warmth, and work ethic left a lasting mark on our family.
The Legacy
We named this business in his honor, and everything we create is a tribute to the love and legacy he left behind. We’re deeply grateful for the memories he gave us. We always joked that he’d outlive us all... and in many ways, his legacy surely will.
